"You've Got Your Hands Full"
Getting into it. He had a call from Pappah and got really excited when Pappah told him he's coming to visit. You broke the news, Pappah, I hadn't told him yet. He was SO excited and told Pappah, "I've been missing you! I've been missing you for a million years!"

This was a kind back pat, although "Curls" is learning to give it like he gets it from "Blonde." "Blonde" will push "Curls" off of toys, chairs, etc. that he deems are his (and in his mind, it's ALL his!).

Talking Mario Kart!

The #1 comment I hear is, "You've got YOUR hands full!" =) True! And people are so sweet to hold doors open, etc. I even got in one horrible bind one day when I actually let a stranger (a nice looking woman and I was within 5 feet of her) hold one of the twins once. That was a while ago, I don't even remember where or why... or which baby!

The other big one is, "Are those twins?" or "Are they twins?" Followed by, "Wow, they look SO different!" OR "Wow, are they identical? They look EXACTLY alike." And then many (MANY) friends will tell me who their favorite is. I don't get all hyped up like some mothers of twins do. They're going to know they are different people with different likes, dislikes, etc. and that they are each loved SO much.
And THIS is why I tell everyone that I am just trying to keep "Curls" alive! He climbs on the kitchen table, train table (and jumps to the Love Sac (huge bean bag)), coffee table...you get the idea! The day he got the ride on toys from Aunt Sherri, he STOOD on the seat and rocked back and forth. Speaking of those, it was so cute today, "Blonde" was giving "Curls" a ride on the ride-on "car" and "Curls" LOVED it! I tried to get a pic, but my cell phone cam has not been the same since I fell in the pool. JK, it was broken before that. It will take a pic, but not save or send it. So...it's not great.

Arranging furniture in the play house. "Curls" brought that in the house (I'd moved it out b/c he climbs on it and through the windows...)

Well, today was a preschool day for "Big Boy", then Mario Kart. I was SO impressed with "Big Boy", he got first place in the Leaf Cup! I was cheering for him and yelling and the babies did too. So cute.
Then we did some playing on the back porch and got a call from Pappah Chuck and Memaw. Each boy got to talk.
The last few weeks have been fun w/ Tee Ball. We all go to each game to cheer "Big Boy" and Friend, "G" on. Church has been wonderful, as usual. My kids are loved on by so many people and in so many ways. You couldn't ask for anything more. Ministry has been pretty busy. Husband's school is hitting him hard this week: Midterms, etc.
Monday and Tuesday are our friend's birth days (he celebrates his Australian and American time zones) and so after the game on Mon. we went over to their house: bathed all the kids (5) in two groups: Big Kids and Toddlers. (Don't worry, the Big Kids wore swim suits.) And then L had an ice-cream cake (mmm!) for him, complete with singing a candle and the lights off. And the kids LOVED running around in their pajamas, my kids loved getting to take a bath somewhere new and exotic and it was fun! I loved seeing a bunch of clean kids in cute p.j.s...it was cute.

Today, "Big Boy" was helping me catch "Curls" so that I could bathe the three and he said to me, "What would you do without me, Mommy?" I smiled and answered, "(Sigh!) I don't know! You help me SO much! You are the best big brother and the best helper. Love you so much, "Big Boy." I smiled then and am smiling now, b/c it's a message that I've been instilling in him: he is SO important to this family and we need him. I tell him ALL the time, "What would I do without you?!!!" And truly, he is a HUGE help...he chases toddlers for me, runs and gets me a binky, a shoe, a shirt...etc.! Sippy cups that fall, picking up toys, giving "Curls" his "baby" and "Blonde" his "lovey" (bumper), this kid is amazing. He doesn't like the babies to get in trouble and will ask, "Can he please have a second chance?" He'll sign things for them so that they can get what they want (please, sorry, etc.). He is an expert at Choking Hazards and is very vigilant. I could not ask for a better bigger brother. What would I do without him?
