January: Rollerskating, partying and GROWING

Everybody is just growing like crazy around here! Dallas is getting more advanced in everything. He dresses himself completely, picks up after himself (sometime after some nagging), can make toast (I pull it out, don't worry!), plays card games and other childrens' games and is just all around growing up!

I LOVE age four and I don't think I want him to get any older. Four is just perfect. He's as sweet as can be, thoughtful, independent, but still cuddly. One of my favorite things in the world is seeing him love on his brothers and be so sweet and caring towards them. I also love Sunday mornings, because Dallas comes into "Big Church" with us and worships to the music. The entire time he cuddles with us: cheek to cheek. Or he LOVES to put one arm around Daddy and one around me and snuggle while holding us both. It's LOVE! We are blessed.

Dr. Suess...

Well, Big Boy Powers (Dallas' name changed after potty training when he was 2) had his first dentist appointment and it went SO WELL! Since he had no knowledge that it's scary to go to the dentist, we told him it's a privilege and that he gets to go because he is a big kid. He was SO excited! They said he did so great and just went on and on about how well he did. I told him his dentist's name and he said, "Aw man! I wanted it to be Dr. Suess!"

As I'm typing this, Dallas is drawing pictures next to me. He just showed me pic and said, "This is math in Chinese."

Here are some vids and pics:

The dentist! Dallas is so busy keeping his mouth wide open that he can't answer the dentist's question, 'How old are you?' and has to hold up four fingers!

Such a great boy!

Hendrix and Colton...so big!

Colton!

Hendrix!

Colton - yawning

Well the little guys are 3 1/2 months old now and are getting more and more fun. After each "feeding" we have play time: swatting at toys, jumperoo, singing and "dancing" or just sitting in front of the window and looking out. Hendrix weighed 15 pounds about a week ago and Colton is not far behind at 14.8 (as of today). Hendrix loves swatting at items, LOVES the fan(!!!!) ...loves it: one fan can keep him smiling for the entire play-time (they're worn out after 15 minutes!). Hendrix loves staring intently at other things too. I was so sad that he slept all through Zoo Lights b/c I knew he'd love them. The boy can suck down an entire bottle in ten minutes!

Colton is turning out to be a charmer. He likes to interact w/ people and will do some extra "jumping" in the jumperoo if someone is looking. He will "practice" smiling...just off by himself smiling over and over. He's just starting to like hitting toys that hang above him, but loves the jumperoo, being held, cuddling, soft things (he'll smile if a chamois blanket is rubbed on his cheek) and SKIN! He loves to be touching or cuddling w/ skin. Now that he can "sit up" (w/ some assistance) he doesn't want to do anything else!

Some people (the manufacturer) say a jumperoo is for ages six months and up, but we all know my boys are advanced! So we popped 'em in, with some blankets for bobble-head protection and away they went! They LOVE it! Love it! And they feel so big "standing" up. It's a big feeling when all you've done is lean on stuff and lay on your back all day and night!

Polar Express!

We drove 2.5 hours to Flagstaff and had fun in the snow...Dallas' first time seeing snow! We also rode the Polar Express train to the "North Pole!" and got to see Santa! This was a really special time and made some great memories: I think we'll have to make it a tradition. It was so fun to see four-year-old excitement and magic. The twins came along too, but barely even woke up on the train.
Holding the bell that Santa gave him!! Sledding w/ Daddy Cookies and Hot chocolate?! Santa is on the train!!! Dancing in the hotel w/ his bell:
